I based this work on several medical radiological studies done to anonymous human bodies.
As an artist, I find interesting defining this portrait just displaying a partial part of the face, such as if the character has an inconclusive presence. The close-up character’s frontal gaze invites the observer to operate with it, that is, it demands from him/her a role.
The palette I used is not common in my work, but the image required it. I wanted it to be abrasive. The nervous and rushy strokes of paint also helped to this effect.
